My pink bow. When I wanted a pink bow no one (including Orlando BassPro and every other shop, large or small, within a two hundred mile radius) had one. The last place I called was this little spot in Ingliss.
She said the only one they were out of was the camo. I sped down the next morning. Not only have they been my outfitter ever since but Mike and Debbie (who had just purchased recurves) drove down with me one Saturday and made the switch to compounds as well.
Last but not least...first bulls eye.

Me and Jimmy Carter.

I know, I know...it's not the best picture but hey it was taken by an 80 year old woman who was baffled by a cell phone taking a photo. She did OK. I shook the President's hand and Roslyn put her arm around my waist. It was pretty darn cool.

If you ever get a chance to make the trip to Americus/Plains, do it. Just plain fun with history and a prez to boot.

Becoming Outdoor Women

What a blast; except for the Florida heat. I took flyfishing, archery, primitive cooking, and reading the woods. In the last class of reading the woods Pam and Jackie and I were all together. After wandering the woods for a couple hours we were all happy to jump into the van and head back to camp for lunch when what to our wandering eyes should appear? Nope, not Santa and eight tiny reindeer but a black bear and her two cubs. A VERY rare sighting which made our weekend complete.
