Once again this meteor shower has come and gone in an non-viewable state. I guess the only way I'll ever see it is to head north. :(

Those little birds are too darn fast for me and my camera. This is really the neighbor's shrub but I'll grip a starter piece one of these days. Michael says it is a pagoda plant. I googled it. As usual, he is correct.

Try as I may to ignore it the inevitable always occurs. SAM made the cupcakes.

Star light, star bright.
This porch light annoyed me. While trying to find/make a shade I liked nothing made me smile. Until I figured out how to scruff the star shade (it didn't make the move from the old office to the new) paper up over the bulb. And voila, I'm smiling.

Cadence's first visit to the pool, er, I mean, new house.
It consists mostly of pool time. The only inducement to exiting was sweet and sour chicken and the Disney Hannah Montana concert.

Somehow VA John and I got to talking about Mah Jong. It's my new fascination. He said he had a board. A few days later this beautiful set appeared on my desk where it sat for a week just so I could look at it. After finally bringing it home it is again out where I can enjoy looking at it. Thanks John.

Dear Employees:

The highest priorities at Santa Fe College are education, service and safety.

Because the college will take all reasonable steps on behalf of safety, I inform you that Santa Fe does not allow employees to have weapons anywhere on campus, including in your vehicles.

There has been some misunderstanding because a new state law in Florida could allow some employees who have concealed weapons permits to keep guns securely encased in their cars while at work. However, Santa Fe College employees are not permitted to have a weapon anywhere on campus because the College falls under the new law’s exception for educational institutions.

The only weapons allowed at Santa Fe are those in possession of sworn law enforcement personnel and those in possession of students at the Institute of Public Safety, where a firearm is part of their instructional program, in connection with their classes as authorized by the Director of the Institute of Public Safety.

Also hiking girls and biking girls. Here we were the Sunday evening eating girls. Eliz is missing...still in Holland. The rest have returned from trips hither thither and yon. We needed wine and time to laugh and share experiences.
